The Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) was founded in 2008 and represents a government-backed agency for the audiovisual sector in Croatia. Its goal is to boost the audiovisual industry in Croatia. Available incentives are publicly funded by the grant-in-aid from the Government. The variety of stunning filming locations, together with high-quality local service providers and financial incentives, make Croatia one of the favourite destinations for international filmmakers. Croatia offers an incentive for Film and TV productions in Croatia which is available to local and international filmmakers in the form of a cash rebate of 25% on qualifying local spendings. An additional 5% is approved for productions filming in regions with below average development.
