The Finnish film industry is supported and promoted by the Finnish Film Foundation (FFF/SES). It is the main financer of film productions in Finland. The budget for 2023 was in total EUR 24 million for the production, distribution and exhibition of films. Production support is available for feature, animated, short and documentary films. 

International co-productions are also supported by the FFF. The Foundation funds about 8 to 10 minority co-productions each year with a support budget around EUR 1 million.

Finland offers several cash rebates for the cost incurred in Finland, which can be added and can go up to 40%. The rebate is available for both Finnish and foreign production companies.
