Greece

The Hellenic Film Commission (HFC) is a unit of the Greek Film Centre (GFC) which is supervised by the Ministry of Culture and Sports and subsidized by the state. The mission of the HFC is to promote and develop Greece as a filming location for international film and TV productions. Greece is an attractive destination for film productions, as it offers interesting incentives to attract investments. One instrument is the cash rebate which covers 40% of eligible production costs and another instrument is the tax relief incentive, which covers 30% of eligible production costs. An audiovisual work may qualify for both incentives. The total state subsidy cannot exceed €12m.
