The Italian Film Commissions Association consists of 20 regional Film Commissions in Italy and strives to promote growth and enhancement of the Italian audiovisual sector. It is the first day center for producers, authors, professional operators, cinema and audiovisual institutions. Italy offers many different incentives for feature films, documentaries and TV series productions. These range from tax rebates that can be used to cover fiscal and social security obligations when paying for goods and services, national subsidies, regional subsidies, VAT reimbursement and sponsorship possibilities. The general tax credit for production is at 40% based on production expenses occurred in Italy.
