Lithuania

The Lithuanian Film Centre, established in 2012, is a state institution under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania. The aim of the Centre is to design an effective film and audiovisual sector policy and to strengthen the Lithuanian film industry. It allocates subsidies for the development, production and distribution of Lithuanian films and international co-productions and encourage private sector investment in filmmaking. It aims to offer the most favourable environment to foreign film productions and therefore provides funding for film development and production of the national films as well as co-productions and minority co-productions. By means of the Lithuanian Film Tax Incentive filmmakers have the opportunity to save up to 30% of the film production budget through a private investment scheme. The total budget 2024 was about €10 million.
