Luxembourg

The Film Fund Luxembourg represents an official national body and implements the overall policy of the government’s support for the audiovisual industry. It also outlines the program through which the Luxembourg government provides financial support to audiovisual productions. It offers only one way of funding for audiovisual productions to be carried out by a Luxembourg registered film production company. The fund is called National Audiovisual Production Support (AFS) and is a selective scheme which provides loans to producers to finance their project at all stages. Applications are evaluated by a committee case to case, based on cultural, social and economic criteria. In 2022, the total budget of the AFS summed up to about €39m.
