Film Centre Serbia is a governmental institution of the Republic of Serbia, which is of national importance and provides professional assistance to national and international filmmakers. It performs numerous activities to win industry leading film professionals, production and post-production companies working on feature films, TV commercials, television and animation projects in the country. The incentive for investors presents itself as a 25% refund for qualified expenses incurred in the Republic of Serbia. In case the local spending is more than €5m, the refund may be 30% of eligible costs. In 2023, the total amount of subsidies paid out to the film industry summed up to €16,5m.
